 he folks from Stockton Bridge Grill took over this popular spot at the end of the Esplanade, adjacent to the beach with nice views of the ocean. The room is bright and airy, its focal point an attractive martini bar, where you can find suitable pleasures such as a Nabana (banana flavored martini) or a Blue Dolphin. The menu shines in its seafood offerings - scallops cooked to perfection with pancetta, steamers to dip in a delicious broth, pasta with smoked salmon, in addition to nightly specials. There is also something for the meat eaters and vegetarians. The wine list is impressive and full of affordable, good choices. After dinner, try the wonderful desserts from Original Sin Bakery, or the house-made bread pudding, a huge, lusciously warm mess. Parking can be difficult, but you can park above the village and enjoy the view during your short walk down the hill, or take the free shuttle. A real treat is smoked salmon linguine ($15). The recipe is bullet proof, so Lee doesn't have to be here to cook it whereas a skilled chef is necessary to enjoy prosciutto-wrapped sea scallops ($16).
